Barry's Interview Complete!

Here's a short (but very sweet) update on the project:

We have finished one of our major filming segments, a sit down interview with Barry here in Los Angeles!  The footage looks amazing and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.  Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to finishing the documentary!

Premiere Screening Event for The Tin Man Project!

Hello everyone!
About a week ago, Jordan and I packed up our car, picked up the cat, and drove from Los Angeles to Atlanta.  We arrived a couple of days ago and are getting ready for The Heart Foundation's Inagural Gala, which is happening on September 19th at the Fox Theatre.  This event is a big deal for us because we'll be premiering the first cut of our film here!  By the looks of it, the event is going to be a HUGE success.

This version of the film is absolutely fantastic and we're thrilled to be able to share it with everyone who attends.  However, this is a one-time opportunity because we have decided to continue the project and expand on this incredible story.  This will be the one and only screening of this version of the film.

Gala tickets, at $100 per seat, are almost sold out at this point, but seperate screening only tickets are available for only $30, which includes a cocktail hour and champagne service, plus exclusive balcony seating for the screening.  Tickets can be purchased at The Heart Foundation's website.

Please come out and support the film and the foundation, and don't forget to tell your friends and family in Atlanta.  This event is not to be missed!

Anyway, we hope to see you there.  Stay tuned!
-David

For those of you in Los Angeles, we need your help!

Our editor, Kevin, is working hard on the film.  We will be holding test screenings of the film in the next couple of weeks.  If you are in the LA area and would like to donate an hour of your time to watch the film and give some feedback, contact Jordan: JRHackworth@gmail.com

"The Tin Man Project" to Screen at Exclusive Premier Event, The Heart Foundation’s Inaugural Gala

Huge news!

Since the Heart Foundation was recently granted official non-profit status, things have been rolling fast for them (and for us too).

Barry’s organization, spearheaded by his power-house sister Aleacia Perdomo, will be hosting a charity event. On September 19th, 2010, Atlanta's Fox Theatre will open its’ doors for one unforgettable night.

It looks like there will be 2 tiers of ticketing. The first, at $100, will include a formal cocktail hour and dinner with presentations, prizes, branding opportunities for local and national business, live music, performances, etc.

After the dinner and performances, we will introduce and screen The Tin Man Project for the first time! For those who can’t afford the lavish dinner, $30 tickets will also be available, which will include a seat to the screening of the film, plus access to the dance party afterwards.

We are so excited to have such an amazing opportunity to showcase our film in a room surrounded by the amazing characters we have been filming for the past two years.
We hope this ignites a great run at the festivals!

We'll keep you posted as more details become available!

Thank You, Atlanta!

Tuesday’s show was an incredible success! We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the organization and the performers. For those of you who couldn’t make it, you’ll get to see highlights in the completed film. The show had a fantastic turnout and we have received a lot of positive feedback from show attendees. Many have expressed regret for not bringing more people along because it far exceeded their expectations.

Amir Abbasi, Jordana Forrest, Claudia Morris-Barclay, and Claire Bradley gave excellent performances and each added their flare to the show.

I also want to thank all of the artists, local businesses, and friends who devoted immeasurable amounts of time, energy, love, and passion into the show. From running lights, to selling glass hearts, or running a sound board, each person’s tireless effort made our show possible, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

And now it’s back to LA. We’ve finished our filming (for now) and are moving into post production soon. We will continue to post updates on the documentary, as well as major updates on Barry and The Heart Foundation.

Barry on "Good Day Atlanta"

Hey guys, so great things are happening in Atlanta! First of all, Barry was interviewed on Good Day Atlanta today, which is extremely popular and well-watched in the area. The interview was great and now even the producer and host of the show are coming tomorrow night! Take a look here.

Speaking of which, the show is tomorrow at Atlanta’s Shakespeare Tavern. The doors open at 7pm, and we have a great lineup of performers, including singer/songwriter Claire Bradley, plus Jordana Forest, Claudia Morris-Barclay, and esteemed Atlanta-based DJ Amir Abbasi. For more information on the performers, visit www.BshertFilms.com/show.

We also have a fantastic silent auction that will be open to all guests of the show. There are some amazing deals and steals, plus door prizes and a raffle, so be sure to check it out.

Hope to see you all there tomorrow!
